Quiet Cove.tif
At dusk, several sailboats rest at their moorings in a quiet Island cove in the town of Oaks Bluff on the Island of Martha's Vineyard. The Island is located off the coast of Massachusetts, to the south of Cape Cod. Settled by the English in 1642, it became an important center of fishing and whailing during the 18th and 19th centuries. The harbor is seen on an October day at sunset.
